Benford Fay Benny Bryant

Benford Fay Benny Bryant, 68, of Carmi, Illinois, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. He was born September 15, 1946, in Greenville, Kentucky, the son of Oscar and Mannie (Creek) Bryant. He was married to Joann (James) Bryant and she survives.

Benny was a farm worker and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed thoroughbred horses and spent many hours at the White County Fair Grounds horse barns.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Bryant of Carmi; sons Jeremy (Jennifer) Bryant of Carmi, and Jamie (Robbi) Bryant of Mt. Carmel; grandchildren Ben Bryant, Jayden Bryant, MaKayla McKenzie, Ashton Bryant, Jesse Bryant, Danielle Shepard, Quinton Chrockrem, and Aidan Chrockrem; great grandchild Remington Chrockrem.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers James and Russell; and sister Vernalle.

Visitation and funeral are Thursday, February 26th at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi. Visitation is at 10 am and funeral is at noon. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery.
