Carl Raymond

Carl Richmond Raymond, III, 65, of Grayville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, with his loved ones by his side. He was born on January 14, 1961, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the son of Carl Richmond Raymond, ll and Juanita Fern Hedge.

Most of his friends and family knew him as "Crazy Carl." He worked as a Journeyman Pipefitter for many years. Carl loved to make people smile. Whether it was through his sense of humor, his unforgettable personality, or by simply being, himself, "Crazy Carl" left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He loved to ride his motorcycle and was a free spirit. Carl loved being in nature. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his friends and family.

Carl is survived by his son Elijah; grandchildren, Elijah, Gabriel and Alexandra; bonus sons, Mike Davis of Grayville, IL, and Jared Davis of Evansville, IN; siblings, Linda Batten (Robert) Kelley of Las Vegas, NV, April (Josh Hopper) Gayso of Grayville, IL, and Juanita Bailey of Grayville, IL.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Lisa Margist and Donna Raymond.

Celebration of life arrangements are pending and will be forthcoming. Contributions may be made to Roberts and Cook Funeral Service to assist the family with expenses. Roberts and Cook Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
