John H. Walker

John H. Walker, 65, of Carmi, Illinois, died February 22, 2024, at his home. He was born January 3, 1959, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Wayne and Marilyn (Harper) Walker. He was married to Letha Lorene (Johnson) Walker, and she survives.

Wayne worked in various positions in the health care industry, most recently working in supportive living. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Letha Walker of Carmi; sons Josh Walker of Hillsboro, Illinois, Michael (Rhi) Walker of Nokomis, Illinois, James Payne of Baghdad, Arizona, Cody (Christina) Payne of Fairfield, Illinois; daughter Jamie (Tony) Cain of Carmi; brother Wayne (Elizabeth) Walker of Allendale, Illinois; 15 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister Sherri Johnson.

Johns wishes were to be cremated with no services.

Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi, Illinois, is assisting the family.
