Norma Ruth Brandenstein

Norma Ruth (Parson) Brandenstein, 90, of Crossville, Illinois, died Tuesday, August 01, 2017, at Premier Healthcare of New Harmony, in New Harmony, Indiana. She was born March 18, 1927, in Phillips Township, White County, Illinois, the daughter of John Steph Davis Parson and Bessie Jeanette (Means) Parson. She married Thomas Brandenstein on June 10, 1942, and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2006.

Norma was a member of the former Phillipstown Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting antiques and she was an avid reader.

Survivors include son Roger Brandenstein of Carmi, Illinois; daughter Donna (Richard) Pfister of Benton, Kentucky; grandchildren Sara Woodside, Megan Brandenstein, Greg (Karen) Pfister, Mark (Sarah) Pfister; great grandchildren Shae, Nora, Taylor and Brian.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Eschol, Kenneth and John Emerson Parson; sisters Flossie King, Mildred Salisbury and Margaret Cox.

Visitation and funeral are Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville. Visitation is at 11 am and funeral at 1 pm. Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Crossville Missionary Baptist Church and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel.
