Tim Schroeder

Richard Tim Schroeder, 81, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Oakview Heights in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, after a brief stay there. He was born on Thursday, August 10, 1944, in Wabash County, Illinois, the son of Shelley and Emily (Cowling) Schroeder. Tim was a lifelong resident of Wabash County. After high school, he married Sharon Marie Hortin, and together they had a son, William Franklin Schroeder.

He worked at TJ Maxx as a supervisor and in distribution. Tim enjoyed gardening, shooting pool, watching old westerns, Nascar, and was an avid Cardinals Baseball Fan. Tim was also a skilled mechanic, often working on projects in his spare time.

Tim is survived by his grandson, William Timothy Miller; a brother-in-law, Larry Hortin and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon; his parents; his son, William Schroeder; siblings, Doyle Schroeder and Lois Kay Foster; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

In keeping with Tim's wishes, there will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, Illinois. Roberts and Cook Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
